犠牲者悼み、携帯のともしび揺れる　吹奏楽コン東北大会,2011

「響け！　復興のハーモニー」を合言葉に、秋田県湯沢市の文化会館で開催された全日本吹奏楽コンクール東北大会。最終日の１１日、最後に特別演奏した被災地・宮城県の名取交響吹奏楽団が会場に呼びかけて携帯電話の明かりを振り、東日本大震災の犠牲者に哀悼の意を示す場面があった。

  • ５０年間にニュータウンのみならず、日本全体の無縁社会化が進んだ。住宅の配置で解決できるレベルを越えた。
  • 建築やランドスケープデザインに関わるなか、それだけでは解決できない何かに気付いた。それが人の繋がりのデザイン。
  • 英語では、これら新しい意味のコミュニティデザインをCommunity EnpowermentまたはCommunity Developmentという

The city reader, 5th edition, Richard T. LeGates and Frederic Stout, 2011

The Fifth Edition of the highly successful The City Reader juxtaposes the best classic and contemporary writings on the city. It contains fifty-seven selections including seventeen new selections by Elijah Anderson, Robert Bruegmann, Michael Dear, Jan Gehl, Harvey Molotch, Clarence Perry, Daphne Spain, Nigel Taylor, Samuel Bass Warner, and others –five of which have been newly written exclusively for The City Reader. Classic writings from Ebenezer Howard, Ernest W. Burgess, LeCorbusier, Lewis Mumford, Jane Jacobs, and Louis Wirth, meet the best contemporary writings of Sir Peter Hall, Manuel Castells, David Harvey, Kenneth Jackson and others.

初盆を迎えた岩手県陸前高田市で「うごく七夕まつり」が行われ、
華やかな飾りを付けた山車が、がれきの中をゆっくりと進んだ。
山車の多くが津波の被害を受け、一時は中止も考えられたが、開催された。
「死者の霊を慰めるのが祭りの始まり。こんな時こそ祭りをしよう」

まばたきをしている間、見えていない世界は自分にとって光のないものになる。

ここでは、まばたきをしている間、世界は照らされない。

１）待ち状態：５０％

２）目トラッキング開始　１００％

３）まばたき検地後　１０％？

４）（３）で暗くなった状態から、まぶたを開いた状態をカメラが検地できるかが課題

大きな部屋なら、２人以上の観客が（部屋に）はいれる。

照明はひとつだけでなく、部屋の各部分にいくつかある。それぞれが近い観客のまばたきに対応。観客が皆目を閉じたときが一番暗い。

部屋の中身は、光にかかわる鏡やガラス製品でもよいが、

たとえばその展示場所、国の典型的な居間や、オフィスを模したもの。

目を閉じると、明かりだけでなく、テレビモニターも暗くなる。窓からの光も暗くなる。

テレビの音は消えるのか？窓の外から聞こえる（展示会場の近くで実際に採集した音）はどうなるのか？

小豆島伝統の「虫送り」復活へ　「八日目の蝉」ロケ機に

香川県の小豆島でこの夏、夜の棚田をたいまつが彩る伝統行事「虫送り」が７年ぶりによみがえる。たいまつを持つ子どもが少なくなり途絶えていたが、小豆島を舞台にした映画のロケをきっかけに、島民のなかに復活の機運が高まった。

　竹の先にたいまつをともした「火手（ほて）」の炎が、標高差約１００メートルの棚田沿いの小道に連なり、ゆらめく。子どもらが「灯（とも）せ、灯せ」と声を掛けながら歩く姿に、永作博美さんらが演じる親子が「きれいやなあ」とつぶやく。映画「八日目の蝉（せみ）」のワンシーンだ。

昨年７月のロケで、「日本の棚田百選」の一つ、中山千枚田の地区住民約６０人を中心に、小豆島町内の約１５０人が参加して撮影された。
