Scanario: Street light to theater lights

複数(8本程度?)の見かけは普通の街灯と、それが照らす街路、住宅地の一角、商店街、または郊外の私鉄駅前を想定。

Seitinger のARライトのような色、光のエリアが変更可能な街灯を想定。

どのような操作を、どういうユーザなら行うのだろうか?

  1. 複数の別種のユーザ
  2. 1のユーザの組み合わせ(1がxxしているところに2がくる。。)の状況

を考えてみる。

Scenario:POKE

For: Housing Complex (includes open space), Park, Museum

ユーザが庭や美術館の前を歩いていると、家族にその知らせが届く。

家族は(家にある端末や携帯から)ユーザに光のpokeをすることができる。その際の色、照明の時間軸上の変化パターンはカスタマイズできる。

  • この、色とパターンは、
    • ユーザが登録していたものを家族が光らせるのか?
    • 家族が自分で作ったものを光らせるのか?
    • ユーザが登録していたもの+家族が作ったもの、の相乗的なものか?その場合、相手にそれがわかるか?
      • 時間軸があるのなら、2パターンのモーふぃんぐ
  • 同じしくみを、トリガーをユーザがひくものと考えると、改札のシナリオになる。

Scenario:擬人化

見られるとその辺りが明るくなって’照れる’建物

建物にむかって座ってほんをよんでいると顔認識してその辺があかるくなる。>ほんをそこでよみたくなる?建物の周りを歩くと弱い光がついてくる(導入)

建物に人がよってくると明るくなってくる。それだけの単純なもの。

建物の前に何人人がいるのか、こちらを見ているのか、どんな服をきているのか、どんな髪の色なのか、などを感情的に読み込んで反応しているように見える。

Scenario: Candle light

Title: Candle Light

  • イベント。Commemoration
  • 街灯の1本1本の基部にニッチがあって、そこにろうそくがあり、灯す、、というバージョンも考えられる。

Place: i)Building ii)Exhibition room or bar iii) Entrance or outside

Issue: Light which changes continuously by nature includes human existence.

Issue: Connect artificial and pilitically uncontrable concept of modern light and its enegy source and human-size candle fire.

Metastasis(Spectral View) , Iannis Xenakis ,1955

Metastasis or Metastaseis (“dialectic transformations”), is an orchestral work by Iannis Xenakis, a Greek composer-architect and a major figure in the postwar development of musical modernism worldwide. He is particularly remembered for the pioneering use of stochastic mathematical techniques in his compositions, including probability (Maxwell-Boltzmann kinetic theory of gases, aleatory distribution of points on a plane, minimal constraints, Gaussian distribution, Markov chains), game theory, group theory, Boolean algebra and Brownian motion.

Metastasis was inspired by Einstein’s view of time (a function of matter & energy) and structured on mathematical ideas by Xenakis’s colleague Le Corbusier. The 1st and 3rd movements don’t have a melodic theme to hold them together, but rather depend on the strength of this conceptualization of time. The 2nd movement does have some sort of melodic element. A fragment of a 12-tone row is used, with durations based on the Fibonacci sequence (1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34…)

The preliminary sketch for Metastasis was in graphic notation looking more like a blueprint than a musical score, showing graphs of mass motion and glissandi like structural beams of the piece, with sound frequencies on one axis and time on the other. In this video I tried to display this by presenting the frequency spectrum (0-20.000Hz) of the piece and how Xenakis actually “drew” music.

Overrall concept is: By connecting place and the lighting system interactivery, put the building into the broad experience happens the area. Hence make the building from Background to Foreground of the life.

1)Twitter Pulse/ Mood

Con: Currently speed of the flow of related #tag is quite slow.

Pulse(with speed of flow) with color of mood(of the content)?

2)Light message for locals

Package of light.

2-1)

By Slit-scaning a picture from a phone. This effect adds time-axis to a picture. User may draw a pattern onto paper and take a shot of it.

Slit-scanning method creates linear pattern and a bit boring. So how about adding ‘twist’ effect? (by whom?)

2-2)

Audio message. Lighting visualizes the audio as histogram? User should be on site and wait a bit for the light is going to morph to the audio message.

a)QR code is sent. Receiver shall go visit the museum facade and show QR code on mobile phone’s screen and put it at scanner. Then audio (just for around the scanner) and histogram-animation( on the facade LED) appears.
