>Producers
>>Restaurants and kitchens: visualizing the story of the food
>>front end social networking: mobile, internet

>Technology

Q: How long the project will take? 1 semester?
A:It is gonna be a big project….probably a year to realize. or even more.

Comment:  Peter: I did an internship in food industry. at JA( Japan Agriculture Association). Japanese consumer seems to be….trusting Japanese food producers……though at least in US, consumer does not trust food producers.  When consumers see farmer’s face on photo, they simply trust. But there’s no certification about what is organic food.

Jan: one weakness I have is an barrier between me and Japan. I do not speak Japanese…..

Who am I and Research Theme.
at Match.com, I promoted ‘kon-katsu(to promote marriage)’.
We used “a prince on a white horse seems not here” copy for ad.
Now I work for new business. Which is web business around luxury stuff sell over internet.

Last tuesday, Nikkei covered our story.

Research theme:
Word of mouth(WOM)
To build a model for WOM: Mathematical model?

Infection diseases has mathematical model. I bought a book about it and it seems it is possible to apply the model used in the book to my research.

Next step: Research for existing research. Real project with MIXI and Gree.

Comments:
Jan> viral model can be interesting for your project. There’s very nice examples of visualization around how infection flows around the world.
How you trace WOW?

Katsu>Before internet, it was difficult. But now , for example we can use counts on comments on blog, search result on Google.

Katsu>It seems creating an app is much interesting than building mathematical models.

Na>I did some researches around viral marketing. It could be movie, or other field…we can share the result.
youngsoon>Luxury is not a simple concept. Value, and other things create luxury.
Katsu> key of our business if invitation/exlusiveness. It creates some kind of “i’m the chosen one”feeling. This may be a part of what creates luxury.
