Light of a bouquet for the little shop of flowers.
As a X’mas decoration for a retail store, I co-designed interactive light-flower object, again. This year, when a visitor puts up a bouquet, the lights gradually change its color to the color of the flowers of the bouquet. ユナイテッドアローズの店舗のクリスマスの飾り付けとしてthe little shop of flowersの依頼で制作した花Xインタラクティブ照明の第二弾。近づいて花束を照明に掲げると、照明がゆっくりと花束の色に変わってゆきます。

Make your words to lights ことばを光に
私達は言葉を通じて人と繋がる。言葉は心の中で生まれ、声となり身体から出て音となる。 または文字として伝わってゆく。人と人の対話はそうして生まれてゆく。 私はこの流れを光に繋げ、光の空間を通じて人と人が繋がる体験を作り出したい。 この作品では二人の観客がつぶやく言葉が音声認識によって一旦文字になり、 検索エンジンを用いて見出される言葉と光の関係に照らし合わされて変換され、光による対話の空間を作ります。 この色は恣意的に決められているのではなく、世の中でひとつの言葉とどんな光とその記録である写真が 結びついているのかを即時に調べて生み出される色です。この二人は言葉と光の色で対話しますが、 実はその体験を世の中の数多くの光と写真が支えているということになります。 We are connected to the people around you through words. Encounters through lights 光で出会う
都市や街は見知らぬ人々と出会える可能性の場所。 照明や環境はこの可能性を手助けしてきた。 スマートな照明にはさらに何ができるだろうか? たとえば、光は出会いの媒体になれるだろうか? 人々の意識と光を繋げて、光を通じて他者と出会う照明を提案する。 照明の変化を舞台に2人の観客が自分の意思を表現し合うセッションの場を作ります。普段は表情の奥に隠れている意思が光に変化して外に現れます。具体的には顔の向きを頭につける眼鏡型デバイスで計測し、観客が今見ている照明器具が視線の先で明るく点灯します。 目に力が宿ったような感覚になります。２人で同じ照明器具を見ていると、その照明は特に明るく、暖かい色に変化して２人の視線が交差をしたことを祝福します。

Lightbulb for smiles ほほえみの光
顔とその表情はコミュニケーションの道具であるだけでなく、私達の心に繋がる窓でもあり、それは双方向の心の流れのための窓である。つまり、心を表情として”表示”するだけでなく、逆に表情が心に影響することもある。この作品は微笑みの力を光に変換する装置だが、誰のためでもなく器械に向けた微笑みが、あなた自身の心を少し明るく変えないだろうか? 作品についている画面に自分の顔を写すと、画面の上にある照明が少しだけ明るくなり、画面は”ほほえんでみましょう”と観客を誘います。誘いにのり微笑むと、微笑みの度合いに応じて照明は暖かい色で明るく光ります。
